Philippians 4:1-7
I. Don’t Allow Stress to Rule Over You.
Vs.6 “Don’t worry about anything”
(A) Worry is Unreasonable.
(B) Worry is Unnatural.
(C) Worry is Unhealthy.
(D) Worry is Unnecessary.
II. Rejoice, Be Happy in Difficult Times.
Vs.4 “Rejoice in the Lord always, I will say it again: Rejoice!
1. Rejoicing always is a matter of Focus.
2. Rejoicing always is a matter of Work.
3. Rejoicing always is a matter of Faith over Feeling.

Note Worthy:
 1. We are talking about a lifestyle. Not a, I tried it and it didn’t work.

2. These are God’s instructions.

3. Success over stress, will only be accomplished through faith in God’s word.
(AND) the (PEACE) of God, which surpasses every thought, will (GUARD) your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

Guard…speaks of a military action.
Notice the word, (PEACE) now we are starting to see how all this comes together.
I. Don’t Allow Worry to Rule Over You.
1. Worry is Unreasonable.
A.  Worry Will Cause You to Exaggerate the Problem.
B.  Worry Doesn’t Work. 
2. Worry is Unnatural.
Humans are the only thing that God created that doesn’t trust Him.
3. Worry is Unhealthy.
Proverbs 12:25
“Anxiety in a man’s heart weighs it down,
but a good word cheers it up.”
4. Worry is Unnecessary. 
1 Peter 5:6-7
 Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God, so that He may exalt you at the proper time, 7 casting all your care on Him, because He cares about you.

I. The World Doesn’t Like Us Because:
1. People Are Sinful.
2. People Feel Guilty.
3. People Are Unreasonable. 
4. People Don’t Like Christ. 
5. People Don’t Like Christians.
II. How Are We to Respond?
1. Take Every Opportunity to Tell the World About Our Savior.
2. Pursue Christ.
3. Anticipate Rejection.
4. Resist the Temptation to Give in or Compromise.

(A) They Magnified Potential Problems.
(B) They Minimized the Power and Promises of God.
3.  How Soon We Turn Away from God’s Guidance

(A)  They think they know more than God.
(B)  They take matters into their own hands.
(C)  They want a God they can manipulate.
4.  How Soon We Forfeit the Blessings of God in Our Lives.
